Investing in education. Elevating excellence.

The Liberty School District Foundation - commonly referred to as LSDF - works to support the Liberty Public School District - distributing funds to buildings, educators and certified staff in an effort to make a positive impact to the 11,000+ students. Working collaboratively with the District, community partners and our Board of Directors we support the following programs:

Grants & Gifts

Excellence in Education

The Excellence in Education grant program awards up to $10,000 per grant to support innovative learning projects.  Grant funds have been used to purchase needed technology, materials, and supplies as well as capital improvements.

Learning Enrichment Grants

Learning Enrichment Grants (LEG) are mini-grants aimed to support the creativity and innovation in classrooms.  Teachers and certified staff may request up to $500 for these smaller projects.

New Elementary Teacher Classroom

In an effort to enhance the learning environment of the elementary classroom, the LSDF is offering to help new elementary teachers create a classroom environment that is exciting, educational and functional.

The LSDF looks to find ways to distribute funds in non-competitive grants - examples of this include Major Saver funds where half of the money raised in each school is given right back to that school!  We also incorporate a giving component through our annual RUN. For the Kids.

Recognizing Excellence

 H.O.P.E. Awards

Since 1995, the Liberty School District Foundation has been committed to recognizing Liberty students that exemplify special attributes that go above and beyond the normal efforts of daily school requirements. The H.O.P.E. Awards are provide a public venue to acknowledge and reinforce those positive behaviors, which are vital to ensuring that Liberty students succeed in life!

The Liberty School District Foundation provides oversight and management to a number of scholarship funds.  Scholarships are promoted via the Liberty Public Schools listing of Community Scholarships and are generally due in March.
